On My journey to North West Africa, i walked in to an old dusty shop, where there were piles of old records stacked up in the corner. The Records dated far back as 1950’s. This record struck my eye, so i bought for real cheap. I wish i had bought more, but i blame it on Ryan Air for not allowing free hand luggage! .. cant wait to hear this beauty. I plan to take samples and make some beats and pieces.

A News paper we had to produce as a part of a Illustration/ Typographic project. I started enjoying it more after the deadline. There are a few more pages i need to finnish, so i will finnish them slowly. This newspaper , started of really neat, and ended up being messy, but i like it because, it suppose to show the masses of money Mukesh Ambani has wasted and the contrast between the rich and poor. I think this is not a normal Newspaper, and very different sort of approach to a newspaper, so things are all over the place. Now we have to make this Newspaper in to a Publication.. I am still deciding what to do. All pictures taken by me on my journeys in india, apart from the Mukesh Ambani portrait.

a google image i am going to screen print for my newspaper. i think this is going to be one of the most interesting things i have ever done on my course so far, because here you can see the high rises in Dharavi ( mumbai's biggest slum area )showing in white, as the sun is hitting on the taller buildings..and the majority of lower buildings cannot be seen, they are flat, and not visible.this is a very clear picture of poverty , just in Mumbai, i would love to see a clearer picture of the whole of india.i think this is one of my best studies so far. Well one that make much more sense then my other projects. Maybe these are signs of learning!

I traveled to the other side of the world with this camera...( india ) to see if people would be able to get a battery pack for this.. but everyone in the shops told me to bugger off!.. because they have all gone digital now!.. i went to a local electronic store, and found a battery pack that fits end to end! perfectly!!!!!!!!!!! today is a good day!, even though it is gloomy and raining out side!.... i have ordered the 8mm Film cartridge from out side on the internet and should be with me tomorrow morning ....!...... so i should be up and shooting this weekend some time.. I cant wait to see what comes out!..i bought th battery pack for 89 p!!!! ... cant get any better!..

My journey to Bay of Bengal. ( Andaman and Nicobar Islands )

I have just come back from one of the most soulfully felt journeys i have ever been on.

The journey was from south india to the Andaman islands in the Bay of bengal.I have always wanted to do an ocean expedition, an this time round to india i managed to accomplish this.

I set of from kayalpatnam , a village in the Tamil Nadu, i took a dusty over night bus to Chennai ( Madras ).On this bus was reclining seats, open air windows, with bars guarding the whole of the window ledge.I could smell the sent of local south indian commuters, jasmine tied to little girls hairs, scent from new sari's and a light fragrance of agarbatti ( indian incense sticks burning. )

As the bus departs from the market in kalyalpatnam, i wave goodbye to my uncle, and smile knowing that a new journey has begun. The bus slowly moves through the traffic of bikes, cars , cyclists in lungis, cow carts and other busses .In to the night. The bus is now in full speed, weaving in and out of cars and industrial trucks. The roads had no lights, but the light of other moving motorists, in full beam. so its just a game of chicken all the way. I excluded my self from concentrating on the traffic and more on the moon lit side roads. Listening to Mumford and sons, watching the horizon get further and further lit by the moon, and then slowly i drifted in to a deep sleep.

Next morning i wake up and i see the indian sunrise, with its pinkness illuminating the horizons. Slowly we approach the out skirts of Madras, and all you can see is the markets opening for the new day, men brushing their teeth, with their lungi's tied up, on the side roads.

Woman in vibrant sari's , walking with plastic water canisters, going to collect water from the nearest pump, kids walking for miles and miles in their school uniforms on, and bare feet. This made feel closer to humanity. ( walking to school, a temple of learning bare feet!.. that is pure respect).

I arrive to Numgambakum, and take a rickshaw to my mums house, where my other uncle is living presently. The time is about 12 in the afternoon, i wash up and head straight out to go buy my self a sleeping bag some eucalyptus oil, candles, anti mosquito cream, and some medicine for my journey to the Andaman sea.I managed to get everything by the evening, and repacked for my flight tomorrow from Madras Airport.I woke up the next morning and headed straight to the chennai airport, where i met Sohaya, one of my companions on this journey.We checked in our bags and headed straight to the waiting lounge for our flight.

The announcement for the kingfisher flight to PORT BLAIR , was repeating in my head. Me and Sohaya look up at the information board,

and it reads PORT BLAIR BOARDING NOW!. We look at each other and smile blissfully!!!We aboard the plain, which was full of mainly a load of Chennai locals, some indian holiday makers and the Andamans locals.We are strapped in our seats and feel the beautiful energy as it whirls in our heads as the planes takes off, knowing that we are heading to wander a pristine lush paradise ocean.

As the Plane lands in to Port Blair airport, we lean towards the window and see a massive ocean with wild sand bars coming out the water..and in the distance lots of small islands spread out before the horizon. Crystal clear waters, in some area's real pure aquatic blue, and in the other area's light blue glowing lagoons.

We get off the plane and head towards the tiny airport, walking on the run way with our hand luggage. I look up at the sky and its just a reflection in my head of the ocean i saw whilst landing, ( i have my moment of oneness )!!!.We head towards the luggage section and a police guy stops us very politely, and quietly says, " excuse me sir, please go through immigration, you seem to be foreign", i laughed and spoke in tamil, and he was in super shock!. I laughed a little more and convinced him i was not foreign, he laughed back and said you look Israeli. I laughed a little louder and slowly walked away towards the baggage belt.We grabbed our bags and out the airport await a lot of south indian taxi men asking us to get in the taxi to head towards the jetty.The reason why they herded us was, that there is only one flight that lands everyday in Port Blair, and thats at 1 o' clock in the afternoon. from the jetty the boats are aligned 1 hour after that timing, so that people from the plane can catch the catamarans to other islands. As our flight was slightly delayed from chennai, this made is in a rush to get to the jetty. We quickly jumped in any cab and met these two french guys who Frieze magazine. They were also heading the same way, so we shared the cab. The taxi driver seamed to speak alot of tamil, so i started rambling my tamil, and he was more shocked than the guy at the airport!!!.. We speeded towards the jetty in a black and yellow ambassador, and got there just on time.

We got on to the jetty, and headed towards Havelock Island. this is where the connection the the universe really started.

This is my new project where we have to research another person. Netta is the person i am researching a lovely girl from Finland, a very beautiful and intricate soul... and so much fun to work with as a subject.this is the cover of book, which is kind of an artefact and biographical research....( screen printed on wood and carved.. then coated with varnish. )

this image below shows that netta thinks with her heart, her brain seems to be where her heart is and her heart seems to be in her head.. ( the love for everything creative..?? ) . it almost seems like we are doing fine art!!!!... this is screen printed , many more images to come.

" We were heading from south india , along the western coastline on some seriously bendy roads. i was in a vehicle from chickmanglore towards Gokarna. I was sitting right at the back of the vehicle, with the window open. All i could see as the vehicle was moving, were sky high eucalyptus trees stretching and twisting their way up to the top of the mountains...and down in to the valleys.

As we were winding round and round and climbing these super high roads, the cent of hashish flowed from the front of the vehicle towards the back in episodes, with the mixture humid and dusty air.

This moment was magical, in the state of oneness' gazing out the window, soaking in the beautiful essences of nature slowly
filling up my soul, my breathing and slowly bloodstream....

.................... time went on still driving... .....................................

By now, the motion of the smoke was whirling , with my breathing, rotating in through my veins onwards to my heart and back round my body again... whirling, spinning with love of everything....the sun was high up in the sky, the air was infinite, the trees were infinite, the landscape was infinite , the moment was infinite... and all within my self was infinite...................... and the journey began.....

As the whirling motions took over my inner body, they started effecting the things i was focusing on. I was leaning against the door, with my head near to the window as possible....... still taking in the infinite landscape of eucalyptus trees and coconut trees in the horizon.

The eucalyptus trees near me, started multiplying and multiplying in to the distance..., and slowly started turning in a weird motions as i would concentrate on each tree.
The motion which was inside my body, started flowing out discreetly, illuminating my outside self.the circular motions swiftly moved over to each tree and pushed each one in a circular motion.

i kept my breathing stable, despite the shock, of seeing the trees turn... i kept ....... breathing... breathing... breathing... and breathing .... and all was settled..

i was in motion with the trees - whirling with my whole.

And that was the soulful connection."

"perfect Reg and the Squeegees" .. We had to choose a genre

and a way to promote this band.. I was trying to find my genre through the designs i produced.

A stunning Exhibition i went to in SE1 London..

the whole place was made of wood, displaying artworks on the walls.. and totum polls in the centre of

the circular hall. And speakers in each corner of the hall. Playing Flying LOTUS LOUD AND CLEAR. :)

We are to make something that stands out to the public eye, And really sticks with them as something that

they will always remember.

So i decided on something crazy for my final piece...I wanted to find as many plastic water bottles as possible, and fill them up with blood ( RED PAINT).After doing this, i wanted to take them all to a Petrol station and stand out side and lay the bottles down as the picture below.

Every time some one walks in to the petrol station to purchase petrol, i would give them a bottle of blood to remind them
every purchase adds money to the war and add more bloodshed.But The graphics head of LCC told me think about the Disabled people, how would they get around.. and told met was a bad idea. But i am gonna be strong about it.. because... the government can put money in to looking at other ways to help the disabled such as electric cars?.. some kind of cyclecab service... its the goverments duty to research
and stop this. By the way its just a thought, and an idea... So please do not take it too literally.

Colour 100 project -

My colours - ORANGE AND BLUE

The aim of this project is to find 100 combinations of these two colours , orange and Blue.

It could be from plastic drink bottle wrappers, to print in newspaper, clothing, internet,

information on a leaflet, bus routes , train maps, train time tables, or the sky @ sunset.

We have to record all of this things, in to a sketch book. I have decided to make a small

flip book, that is hung by a string. This is how far i have got to.

i decided to call this, " thru the pipe line" because, the whole experiment started of from one sketch, which is the first one you see in the album cover.
- these pipes are an inside of a rocket, which was used in many British wars. So these lines carry on by expressing my journey through the War. Every line.. Every line.. Every Colour every colour!!!!!. peace.love light. Enjoi.

A time and place Magic and miracles

In flight, i stare out along the long, tropical coast line of south indian shores, Slowly hovering in to my first Destination - Thiruvananthpuram.

As the flight lowers it self over the ocean of coconut and banana plantations,

i unplug the strumming sitar sounds out of my ears. The plane glides down and touches the runway, which is in between tall palms.

My senses are calm, as i know that i have reached my motherland. i hear tamil and malayalam languages bounce around the plane as the seat belts are unplugged. The Doors open to let the passengers out, and i can smell the heat, the mud, the ocean, the jasmine, and coconut oil on some girls hair. i walk out of the plane with my bag, and the heat hits me on my face like a furnace, and instantly puts a huge smile on my face.

Trivandrum Airport :

A very very small airport. I walk through the new sliding doors, and the baggage belt is struggling to start! The crowed of local families, dressed vibrantly, there best for many reasons?Not a cop, or security guard to be seen, just a few backpacking yoga freaks looking relaxed as hell.My bag struggles around the belt,. As it comes around, i Throw it on to my back and walk out to a crowed of dark men in lungi's fullpower curling mustaches, leaning against their white ambassadors, smoking the bee-dees.

I can Still smell the heat hitting the earth, the heat traveling in human skin, causing a humanly fragrance... or the coconut oil to be precise.

i pass the crowed, and i see natraajan, A very old man, who has been with my family for many many years, helping with important Family Deliveries and drop offs. He was initially a taxi man at the airport, and some how became very close to my family down in tamil nadu.

So this old man, who is short, dark,bald always wears the lightest lungi. tied up, above the knees ready to drive a long way!

His smile, will take you away, far away far far away. I put my bags in to the trunk of the famous pale green ambassador. Trust me its famous on the roads! i climb in , on to the brown high spongy 70's style seats and wind down the tinted windows.

The 5 hour journey from, Kerala to kayalpatnam.

The engine of the ambassador Starts up with a massive raw!, ready for the distant journey.

We leave the airport and drive along the coastline. I feel the warm breeze flying through the window and through my linen shirt. The heat is still hitting the earth as the time is just passed lunch time, and the local fishermen and woman are strolling along the coastline road, holding massive king fishes, which are fresh from the sea.

I stop called out to Natrajan, who was busy smoking his beedee and enjoying that warm breeze hitting the corners of the car! - an everyday feeling for him!!!

I ask him in tamil please can we stop on the side, one second and by a king fish for home.

He was like ok no problem, and waved his hand out to stop on the side!

i jumped out of the high risen spring seats, on to the heated road! I could see a woman in this multicolored sari, chopping fish . She looked up at me, her teeth were white as fresh canvas!,

she smiled and shouted, huh tell me how much you want!.. and i couldn't stop laughing

as i found her energy and appearance so beautiful. She kept laughing, which made me keep laughing! - what a feeling!!!

I told her one fish, in tamil and she was grinning and smirking while she was cutting my order!.. she asked me if i was tamil, i said yes iam. Within that time, she cleaned the fish, bagged it up and gave me the sign to get going!

i grabbed the bag, and put the fish in a bucket that Natrajan usually keeps in the trunk of his car along with string and a spare tire!

I looked back at the fisher woman as we departed, She looked perfect with the ocean behind her. i stored this image in my head. As we proceed towards tamil nadu, passing wide landscapes of palm tree's and lotus fields.

We arrive at a place called Muppandhal near the Tirunelveli district.

The green lush landscapes, gradually turn in to a sea of white nuclear wind energy windmills, spinning in layers from me to the far dark green distance. When ever i used to pass this place as a kid , there has always been this crazy wind current that flows through the car, completely different experience from the kerela sea breeze. This wind energy was incredible, huge gushes of wind in different directions as we wynd around the roads leading us towards our destination.

I look at the sky s, and see that the blue is deepening in to this gorgeous orange, with strokes of red and yellow, The white clouds smudging in to the orange masterpiece. The palms just hanging loose on the roadsides, letting their dreads and backs relax in the direction of the sun mellowing down their senses to the hues of magnificent the sky's.

We slowly approach another small town called Nagarcoil, both sides of the road are, full of sand, but a full power highway running through the middle of this busy town. We park up on the sand, next to this small Tea stall, burning its hurricane lamp, and burning temple essences. The small stall made of pure bamboo, had tiny banana's hanging with parcel string. These banana's are called Naathu pallum (home village fruit ), super sweet and fresh from the plantations!

I love this thought........
